Carbon Reduction Policy

Last updated September 2025

Our approach

Robiquity recognises environmental responsibility as integral to how we innovate and operate. This policy sets out how we measure, manage and reduce our greenhouse gas emissions across our UK operations and value chain. It is delivered through our ISO 14001:2015 certified Environmental Management System (EMS) and supported by our Carbon Reduction Plan.

Our commitment

  • Net zero: We are committed to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across our UK operations [redacted] Paris Agreement.
  • Transparency: We publish a Carbon Reduction Plan aligned to UK Government PPN 006 guidance and review progress annually.

Scope

Our policy covers Scope 1 (direct), Scope 2 (purchased electricity) and relevant Scope 3 (indirect) emissions across our UK operations and supply chain.

Our baseline

  • Baseline year: 2023 (first year of formal measurement)
  • Total footprint: 950 tCO2e
    • Scope 1: 150 tCO2e
    • Scope 2: 350 tCO2e
    • Scope 3: 450 tCO2e
  • Key Scope 3 sources: employee business travel, employee commuting, purchased goods and services (including SaaS and cloud-hosted providers), and waste generation.

What we’ve done so far

  • Reduced travel: Prioritised virtual collaboration (e.g., Microsoft Teams) to cut business travel.
  • Responsible travel: Where travel is essential, we offset associated emissions via the TravelPerk platform.
  • Training and awareness: Launched a sustainability awareness programme through the Hiscox Risk Academy.
  • Responsible waste: Appointed a WEEE-compliant provider to manage electronic waste with zero landfill; introduced on-site battery recycling for IT peripherals.

What we’re doing next (2026)

  • Greener commuting: Join and actively promote a Cycle-to-Work scheme across UK offices.
  • Smarter buying: Evaluate environmental credentials when selecting suppliers of products and services.

Governance and accountability

  • Our EMS defines roles, responsibilities and controls for carbon reduction across the business.
  • Senior leadership oversees targets, initiatives and annual reporting.
  • We engage employees and partners to support continuous improvement.

Working with our suppliers

  • We expect suppliers to meet applicable environmental laws and good practice.
  • We will increasingly factor environmental performance into procurement decisions, prioritising partners that support our reduction goals.

Measuring, reporting and improvement

  • We measure our footprint annually and report progress through our Carbon Reduction Plan.
  • We review this policy and our reduction initiatives each year to ensure they remain effective and aligned to our net-zero pathway.
