Evri and Robiquity have been shortlisted for Best Applied AI Project of the Year at the prestigious UK IT Industry Awards, recognising the success of their collaborative AI-powered delivery compliance solution, Veri Snap.

The shortlisting, alongside many household names such as OpenReach, Rightmove, Nationwide Building Society, DWP, Google Cloud and Aviva, celebrates a project that has transformed how delivery compliance is managed across Evri's courier network. By combining machine learning, cloud data platforms and operational tooling into a single scalable solution, Veri Snap has replaced time-consuming manual compliance checks with real-time, AI-driven decision-making.

Using machine learning models trained on real delivery images, the platform automatically assesses compliance against key criteria including image quality, placement and duplication. Running significantly faster and more consistently than traditional manual processes, the solution enables high-volume image processing while providing greater visibility into compliance performance across the network.

Beyond the technology itself, the project has introduced a new approach to compliance management. Continuous model improvement through champion and challenger testing, cloud-scale architecture built on AWS and Databricks, and seamless integration into day-to-day operational processes, via the Microsoft Power Platform, have enabled Evri to move from retrospective manual checks to a proactive, data-driven operating model.

The impact has been significant. To date, Veri Snap has delivered approximately £600,000 in revenue generation for the business. The solution has also reduced manual processing effort and achieved processing costs up to ten times lower than traditional approaches.

The project has also delivered measurable improvements in service quality for Evri’s customers. More accurate identification of non-compliant deliveries has strengthened Evri’s ability to get deliveries right first time which has led to early performance indicators which suggest improvements in courier compliance and reductions in customer claims. The reusable AI and data platform has also provided Evri with a strong foundation for future innovation across the wider Evri group.

Being shortlisted recognises not only the technical innovation behind Veri Snap, but also the strength of the partnership between Evri and Robiquity in delivering practical, measurable business value through artificial intelligence. Veri Snap is just one of several automation and AI initiatives Robiquity and Evri and driving across the organisation together.

Discussing being shortlisted, Chris Gatrell, Head of Intelligent Automation at Evri said: "Veri Snap has fundamentally changed how we manage delivery compliance across our network. By combining AI with our operational expertise, we've improved visibility, increased consistency and created a platform that will continue to evolve as our business grows. Being shortlisted for this award is a testament to the hard work and collaboration of everyone involved in the project."

James Procter, COO at Robiquity and Evri’s Exec-Sponsor said: "This shortlisting is a fantastic recognition of what can be achieved when AI is focused on solving real business challenges. Working closely with the Evri team, we've been able to move delivery compliance from a largely manual process to a scalable AI-powered capability that delivers measurable operational and commercial value. Our work with Evri is a true partnership, and we're incredibly proud of what we've achieved together."

Tom Jones, Principal Consultant and Robiquity Technical Lead on the programme added “Veri Snap combines machine learning, cloud-scale data platforms and operational tooling to analyse millions of delivery images quickly, consistently and at scale. By building a rich picture of every delivery, the platform helps Evri improve courier compliance, reduce customer claims and give customers greater confidence that their parcels have been delivered correctly. With continuous model improvement built in, Veri Snap gets smarter with every delivery processed, helping Evri continuously improve accuracy, strengthen customer trust and deliver a better experience at scale.”

Evri and Robiquity were also recognised for their excellence in AI and automation, winning last year’s AI/Automation Programme of the Year at the GSA Awards 2025, demonstrating the strength and tangible outcomes of the wider partnership and programme.

The winners of the UK IT Industry Awards will be announced on 11th November 2026 in London, with the Best Applied AI Project of the Year category recognising organisations that have successfully applied artificial intelligence to deliver measurable operational and commercial outcomes. Congratulations to everyone involved in the Veri Snap project, and the best of luck to Evri, the Robiquity team and all the other organisations shortlisted at the awards.
